Electronic Text Archive: Relevant collections include "Northwest Indian Tales Index to collection of Northwest Indian tales in the Manuscripts, Special Collections, University Archives Division of the Allen Library with Library of Congress call numbers up to about the year 1987. Tales are sorted by tribe and region when possible." Materials in the collection are also available to search as indexed by main character, title, and motif. Digital index includes approximately 3,000 tales derived from about 80 different books, see website for details on access to texts indexed in this database. In addition to manuscripts based on materials from the Northwest, some materials from states across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America are also indexed.
