Sam Noble Museum Native American Languages Collections: over three dozen separate Native American language collections indexed by collector, including audio, text, and video with some material digitally available. "The Native American Languages Collection (NAL) contains both analog and digital sound and video recordings and print materials documenting over 160 Native North American Languages. Materials are housed in our archive and Social Sciences Research Library, a special print library dedicated to the fields of archaeology, ethnology, and linguistics. Our materials do not circulate out of the archive or library spaces, but may be viewed in the library on site at the Sam Noble Museum. Access is provided by scheduled appointment" Collections can be searched online by collection title, search term in the online database, and Oklahoma Native language can be filtered through an interactive state map.
