The American Indian Studies Center Library is a focused special collection of books, journals, newspapers, and other core materials of importance to the study of American Indian peoples. The collection contains a wide range of subjects, including history, law, social relations, expressive arts, languages and literature. Everyone is welcome to use the AISC Library during the hours the library is open. The AISC Library also has a small collection of unpublished dissertations and theses; A collection of policy briefs and reports: "The American Indian Studies Center, in conjunction with The California Wellness Foundation, The American Indian Community Council, and the Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission, developed a series of policy briefs and technical memos"; The Story Maps project is also digitally accessible from the Library website: "Uncovering multiple layers of indigenous Los Angeles through digital storytelling & oral history with community leaders, youth and elders from indigenous communities throughout the city."
