A specialized library and archive of historical photographs and collections including artwork, books, articles, theses, and bibliographic, documentary, and journalistic materials; maintained in accordance with the mission to "contribute to the conservation, protection and enhancement of the archives, libraries, newspaper archives, museums and collections of the country; cooperate with the protection, conservation and valorization of the cultural and natural heritage; to stimulate the knowledge, protection and conservation of the historic and artistic monuments of La Antigua Guatemala."
