"The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center’s collection houses more than 2,500 pieces of pottery, jewelry, textiles, baskets, photographs, prints, paintings and archaeological artifacts. Collection of historic and contemporary Pueblo pottery includes everything from the black-on-black vessels of San Ildefonso and Santa Clara Pueblos to the fine-line black-on-white jars of Acoma Pueblo to the golden micaceous bean pots of the northern Pueblos. Also home to over twenty murals by great Pueblo artists. Research library and special collections contain manuscripts, personal papers, official reports, microfilm and microfiche, theses and dissertations including 80 authored by Pueblo scholars, photographs and audio/visual materials related to the historical and contemporary life of Pueblo people and communities. The library holds more than 5,000 titles, 190,000 newspaper and vertical file clippings." Museum permanent collections showcase the history, culture, and art of the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico, with thousands of rare artifacts and works of art, including historic and contemporary Pueblo pottery, as well as baskets, weaving, painting, murals, jewelry, and photographs, among other exhibits, archives and resources available on site.
