Various resources available, including some digitized materials from the Northeastern California Historical Map Collection, the Northeastern California Historical Photograph Collection, with portraits and scenic photographs available online. The Dorothy M. Hill Collection: materials from work interviewing a group of Native American Elders and documenting the culture, language, and life of Northeastern California's Native American tribes and families in the early 1960s. Includes what they call “California Native oral traditions” throughout parts of Mendocino, Lake, Yolo, Sonoma, El Dorado, Placer, Amador, Mariposa, Nevada, Sierra, Yuba, Plumas, Butte, Sutter, Colusa, Glenn, Trinity, Tehama, Humboldt, Shasta, Lassen, Siskiyou, and Modoc counties. Collection contains substantial information about the social life, religion, family relationships, cultural elements, stories, geographic place names and Northern Northeastern California regional Native American life experiences. Field notes from this collection include some word lists and other language resources.
