Relevant collections include: Billie Jean Isbell Andean collection: images from the Andes. This collection of materials is derived from her years of research in the Andes, primarily in the southern Andean department of Ayacucho and specifically in the village of Chuschi, Peru and the surrounding region of the River Pampas Valley in the province of Cangallo. Approximately 1500 photographs, thirteen songs, her ethnography, To Defend Ourselves: Ecology and Ritual in an Andean Village, as well as selected publications are available; eCommons, Cornell University's Digital Repository: collection of multimedia resources from papers and books to lectures and recorded poetry readings from the university; Huntington Free Library Native American Collection: various digitized books documenting the history, culture, languages, and arts of the native tribes of both North and South America. Full text of a selection of 91 books from the Huntington Free Library Native American Collection representing the various genres in the collection; Selections from the Cornell anthropology collections: full collections consist of over 20,000 objects, covering the full course of human history from the Lower Paleolithic to the present. These selections from the anthropology collections include approximately 1000 items, chosen to provide access to some of our more interesting materials and to materials that are not commonly available otherwise. Some have these materials have been digitized; Pre-Columbian Peruvian textiles and ceramics: including two major donations. These represent a variety of cultures and periods from the region, allowing comparative and chronological study; Amazonian ceramics: collected by and for C. Fred Hartt, first Cornell University Professor of Geology, during expeditions in 1868-1869. This was among the first archaeological work done in the Amazon.
