"The Cherokee Heritage Center Archives keep valuable records of the Cherokee People and makes them available to the public, now and in the future... with mainly text-based primary source records and they include collections of government and private documents, photographs, posters, maps, architectural drawings, books, papers and articles focusing on Cherokee history and culture. The goal of the Archives is to provide free and full access to these materials, and to capture and preserve research that might otherwise be lost"; Genealogical materials are available through the Cherokee Family Research Center; Digital resources include select videos and publications for viewing or download. Research visits to the archive and assistance can be arranged by appointment. Museum and research center require an admission fee, see website for details.
