Catalog of colonial documents: Fichero Pardo

Description
The General Archive of Central America (AGCA): The "Brown File" is intended to promote the dissemination and use of historical documents as part of the cultural heritage of the Guatemalan population. It serves as a catalog of the 562,603 digitized cards which summarize the content of the documents from the AGCA (Archivo General de Centroamérica 1544-1821), comprised of documentation generated in the countries that make up the Central American region, belonging to the colonial period and part of the federal period from 1935. Links to outside resources are also available. Several Latin American repositories, including the "Brown File" website, reference a full collection of digitized documents from the AGCA available to the public, but the link provided redirects users to an expired domain. It is unclear whether this resource will become available.
